Very easy to understand how to do the basics and work from there. I recommend it highly and so do my two Havanese. We had already passed three obedience classes. The last one was specifically geared towards the CGC. So this book was a good review and fill in the gaps book. Although we had taken a CGC geared class I did not feel ready until we reviewed with this book. It accomplished what I wanted. I have recommended it to several others at my local AKC club. The only thing in this book that is not in every single other training reference I've ever seen is the "Motivation Method," which may be just fine, but when I looked at the references for that method... every one of them is another book by the authors of this book.
